Digital Experience Strategist

Preston Kelly, a modern marketing agency based in Northeast Minneapolis, is looking for a self-starter who brings curiosity and passion for creating effective and inherently good digital experiences and strategies. Including the areas of user research, needs analysis, experience design, information architecture, content, personalization, and analytics. We are looking for a multi-talented, T-shaped strategist with interest and ability to take on more than one type of assignment, ranging from digital roadmaps and requirements, to UX strategy and design, to personalization and A/B testing, to content marketing.

You will work with a talented team to plan and develop integrated strategies and experiences that get results in unconventional and innovative ways. Solve clients’ challenges and instigate new opportunities with solid strategic thinking, creativity, excellent human-centered design and content skills, and collaborative spirit. Lead our clients into the digital future by applying the right marketing technology and tools that best support and enable their strategic roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user needs, business strategies, martech stack capabilities, and market opportunities to develop strategic recommendations that engage consumers, exceed clients’ expectations and lead to award-winning work
  • Develop user experience elements (such as journey maps, user personas, user flows, information architecture, wireframes, personalization plans, business and functional requirements, URLs/metadata, etc.)
  • Support website migrations with site audits, gap analysis, requirements writing, CMS content authoring, page mapping, etc.
  • Develop usability plans and lead user testing process
  • Maintain integrity of the user experience through each phase of the project by collaborating closely with design, content, and development teams
  • Digest analytics, extrapolate insights, and evaluate performance against goals
  • Recommend opportunities to optimize digital performance across channels
  • Drive the optimal integration of digital and traditional, as well as paid, owned and earned marketing strategies
  • Lead and collaborate with other team members on content marketing, social strategy, email strategy, and digital campaign planning projects
  • Develop expertise in clients’ business categories, audiences and martech capabilities
  • Act as a digital thought leader to inspire our team and clients

Expertise Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing (agency experience preferred) including digital strategy, research, UX, and analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing or communications
  • Solid understanding of digital trends/platforms and what moves the modern consumer, along with the drive to translate this knowledge into smart, strategic plans
  • Expertise in user experience design, IA, personalization and A/B testing
  • Experience using wireframing and prototyping tools like InVision, Moqups and Sketch
  • Proficient use of analytics tools to implement and evaluate performance metrics
  • Proven ability to dig into the details (whether it’s research, business plans, sitemaps or analytics) and emerge with strong strategic insights and actionable takeaways
  • Ability to develop and deliver persuasive, compelling presentations
  • Skills to manage multiple project assignments and deliverables at the same time
  • Experience and desire to work in a collaborative environment based on open communication, listening and exchange of ideas
  • Prior experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, Marketo, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus
