Recently, PK was tasked to do some new Cutback TV for Roundy’s. And naturally we thought, “What better way to show price cutbacks than to have a bride and groom try and cut a wedding cake with a pair of scissors?”
Here are some pictures from the shoot last Thursday. For the wedding scene, we shot at Cedars Hall just down the road from PK. You can see what the cake looked like before and after the scissors attack. In the end, there was plenty of cake to go around; but unfortunately, no food fights.
We also shot a chainsaw artist chopping down a tree with a pair of scissors. Because as we all know, scissors are for cutting prices. Not logs.
The shoot took place in Perry Carlson’s shop in Pine City, about 50 minutes north. This guy can carve anything with a chainsaw. Literally anything. Even an inverted scuba-diver grabbing an eel from the ocean floor.

These 15-second spots were a blast to work on and will be running near your favorite Copps location very soon.
